Issue 03 is here!!! Based on the theme 'The Magic Number' which we gave to both musicians and illustrators as well as seeking out illustrators who produce music and musicians who draw in an experiment to unite both and to introduce a musical element to the project.

So we are super excited to announce the edition of a 3 track audio CD featuring exclusively written tracks by John Ringhofer of Half-Handed Cloud, Jim Stoten and The Wizard's Hat's own Andy J.Miller's music project 'Ponstinople Clones' feat Nick Philpin.

We also bring you illustrations by Jim Stoten, Nick Deakin, Nousvous, Gemma Correll, Robert Loeber, Will Bryant, Olimpia Zagnoli, MrGauky, James Gulliver Hancock, C86, HeyHeyHey,Zeptonn vs. Welmoet, Kipi Ki Popo, Edward McGowan, Ashkahn Shapania, John Ringhofer, Andy J.Miller and Jeffrey Bowman.

We have also significantly updated the project section with work for Converse, Poolga and several exhibitions!

As well as all this we have also invested in the quality of print production of issue 03 leaving the slightly too Lo-fi feel behind to introduce a very nice 250gsm cover and 100gsm inners to accompany the hand stamped audio CD

Hello, its been a while because we have been super busy with the run down to Issue 03, t-minus 2 weeks and counting! Here is a little picture from the other nights exhibition, thanks to all who came down, all pictures will be uploaded in 2 weeks along with a huge site update with ton's of new projects all to co-inside with the release of issue 03! Well here is the first of 03 exhibitions in the coming months, This one if on the 19th February in Nottingham. We will be displaying prints from the last 3 issue's of the hat so come along and enjoy if your in the area.

Well another week begins, we have selected the very lovely Gemma Correll from our list of collaborators to blog up this week, she has some of the most wonderful illustrations around and the wizard's have fallen in love!

Also its busy times here, with 3 exhibtions coming up were also working on a magazine interview and loads more, more news on the exhibtion stuff very very soon!

Sticks and Stones Magazine Review of 2008

Mike Perry Updates

Well its been a busy start to the new year, we are also going to use this blog to blog the news of people who we have worked with/contributed to the zine so we thought we would start with Mike Perry, one of the most prolific illustrators of the last few years he recently updated his site go check it out!

In hat news we are motoring on with issue 03, its going to be very exciting! Also we are working on some new stuff over the new few weeks that will be put up in the projects section soon!
